Counseling sessions are usually 55 minutes in length and the cost is $160. A complete fee schedule will be provided to you. Please be prepared to pay at the time of your appointment. Cash, check (made to Ronda McLean), Health Savings Account, PayPal, credit cards and debit cards are accepted.
I am a provider for Medicare Part B, and am in the process of becoming a provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield. Services may be covered in part or whole by your health insurance plan. If I am not a provider for your health insurance, I will give you a super bill that you can submit to your plan as an "out of network" provider. With certain plans such as PPO and POS plans, even if I am not on their network, you may be able to receive insurance reimbursement for a portion of the cost of the services, often 60-80%, depending on your health plan. Before we start working together, it is a good idea to call you insurance plan to find out the details and limitations of your coverage. Important questions to ask include:
Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
Is the therapist I want to see on your preferred provider list?
If not, what is my coverage for out-of-network providers?
What is my deductible and has it been met for the year?
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover with this therapist?
How much will I be responsible to pay at each therapy session?
Is pre-authorization required before I make an appointment?
If you are unable to make an appointment, then cancel it by a call, text, or email to me with as much notice as possible so that I can give your time to someone else who may need it. If you do not show up for an appointment or cancel without at least 24 hours notice, you will be responsible to pay for the missed appointment. Insurance plans will not pay the cost of a missed session. If I forget a scheduled appointment, I owe you a free session.
